Cell Guidace System Exosomes

Exosomes are small lipid spheres around 40-150nm in diameter that form within the cell. Exosomes contain and protect various RNA and protein cargos which are secreted into the blood and other bodily fluids. Exosomes are taken up by nearby and distant cells where their cargo can profoundly influence cellular activity. Consequently, there is interest in the potential of exosomes as vectors for gene therapy. In addition, many groups are now working on diagnostic products which can detect disease based on analysis of exosomes recovered from blood, urine, saliva and other body fluids.
Cell Guidance Systems is building a range of innovative products to support your exosome research.

The TRIFic™ exosome assay allows you to easily measure exosomes, even in unpurified samples such as blood plasma and cerbrospinal fluid.

Exo-spin™ exosome purification kits are now established in many labs and provide a convenient method of preparing purified exosomes from a variety of samples.
